An Amber Alert issued on Wednesday ended Thursday morning with the arrest of a Plano woman who was found in an apartment on the South Side of Chicago.

Chicago Police found Theresa Harskey and her 3-year-old daughter safe after a concerned civilian called police to report that the two -- who had been missing since Wednesday evening -- were at a home in the 300 block of South Whipple Street.

Forty-year-old Harskey, who is said to have a history of drug use and child abuse, allegedly abducted the toddler, Rheannon Jermon.

When found, the child appeared to be in good condition. Both she and her mother were taken to the Harrison District police station for further investigation, according to a police statement.
