Three alleged gang members were fleeing police when officers found one of the men became stuck in mud, according to Chicago Breaking News.

"There was some concern that he wasn't moving," said Steve Patterson, the Cook County sheriff’s spokesman, to the paper.  Then police realized "he wasn't moving because he was stuck."

Officers suspected a gang fight was going to break out which is when they decided to survey the Country Glen Apartments in Arlington Heights, Chicago Breaking News Center reports.

A police chase immediately started after the trio flashed their weapon to the officers.  When they got to the intersection of Lake-Cook and Hicks Road, the three men got out of the car and started running.

Police caught one of the men right away and confiscated a shotgun, Patterson said.  A police bloodhound search dog later found the second man.

The sheriff’s helicopter spotted the third man stuck in a marsh.

The trio was arrested in Palatine early morning on March 11.
