KLM Builders is giving away a brand new $17,000 Chevy Cruze with the purchase of a new colonial home in Antioch, Richmond and Spring Grove, the Sun Times reports.
Homes at the Sunset Ridge Estates start at $170,000.
Other incentives also are being offered on properties in Wheeling and Bolingbrook.
In Wheeling, buyers can get $25,000 in free upgrades with the purchase of a $269,000 townhouse at the Millbrook Pointe development.
In Bolingbrook, buyers who purchase a home at the Patriot Place golf course villas can get free insurance in case they lose their job.
The incentives are meant to attract buyers in a weak market.
The Illinois Association of Realtors says sales in the Chicago metropolitan area dropped 15.6 percent in March from a year earlier for existing homes and condos. The median price fell more than 14 percent to $158,000.
