Nine students were taken to the hospital after a school bus was involved in an accident outside a Wicker Park school, officials said.

The Chicago Fire Department said a “minor accident” occurred outside a school around 9:45 a.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of West Schiller Street.

Police said the school bus swiped a CTA support beam near Damen and Lake, but continued on to A. N. Pritzker Elementary School. School officials called 911 “just to be safe.”

Nine kids were transported to Norwegian American Hospital and Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center following the incident.

All were in good condition, fire officials said.

Police are investigating the accident to determine if charges will be filed against the driver.
