A man was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning in a Southwest Side neighborhood and police have arrested his 24-year-old son in connection with the stabbing, police said.
The 48-year-old man was stabbed "multiple times" around 3 a.m. Sunday in Kennedy Park near 114th Street and and South Rockwell Avenue, officials said. He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police have taken the man's 24-year-old son in custody as of Sunday morning, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
Police are still investigating the murder.
