A 4-year-old girl is in critical condition after being hit by a car in the Englewood neighborhood Saturday afternoon.

At about 4:40 p.m., police were notified that a vehicle struck the girl as it traveled northbound in the 7100 block of South Normal Avenue.

The car fled,  police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

Paramedics took the girl in critical condition to the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, said police News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti.
