3 Arrested in Mag Mile Walgreens Robbery

Teens charged with retail theft

At least three juveniles were arrested in connection with a robbery this week at a Walgreens at Chicago and Michigan Avenues, Chicago Police said.

Unconfirmed reports claim up to 50 teens were part of a group that robbed the store at 757 N. Michigan Ave. around 3 p.m. Tuesday. Police and Walgreens representatives could not comment on the number of teens who originally entered the store.

Three juveniles were taken into custody, according to police, after allegedly entering the store, grabbing power drinks and sandwiches, and attempting to leave the store without paying.

The three teens were charged with retail theft after the incident, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.

It is unknown whether this robbery is connected with other thefts that have occurred on the Mag Mile.
