$200,000 In Coins Stolen From Residence

$10,000 reward offered in case

Northern Indiana authorities are searching for a thief who made off with some coins that amount to much more than loose change.

Lake County Police say somebody stole 124 platinum Canadian Maple Leaf coins from a Crown Point, Ind., home on Tuesday.

The 1-ounce coins are worth a total of $200,000.

A $10,000 reward of is being offered for the return of all of the coins or information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals involved in the theft.
