2 Men Critically Wounded in Little Village Shooting, Crash

Two men are in critical condition after police say they were shot while driving in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood on Thursday night.

According to police, the men were driving in the 2700 block of South Pulaski at approximately 7:26 p.m. when a dark-colored SUV pulled up alongside them and one of the occupants inside opened fire.

Both men were wounded in the shooting, and the vehicle they were traveling in struck an SUV, which then rear-ended a third vehicle, according to police.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the head and shoulder, and a 24-year-old man was shot in the head. Police say that both victims were taken to Mount Sinai, where they are listed in critical condition.

The occupants of the other two vehicles involved in the crash declined treatment at the scene.

The assailants fled the scene, and no arrests have been made. Area Central Detectives are investigating.
