Two police officers and a person were injured when a squad car was hit by a vehicle on Chicago's South Side, according to police.
The squad car was traveling northbound on May Street in the city’s Englewood neighborhood around 12:15 a.m. headed to a call in progress, police said. A gray Ford Taurus struck a parked car before hitting the squad car on 73rd Street.
Two officers and the person who was driving the Taurus were taken to Christ hospital with injuries that are not life threatening, according to police.
The driver of the Taurus will face numerous citations over the crash, police said.
