2 Men Pulled from Chicago River

Police said the two men were intoxicated when one of them fell in the water

Two men fell into the Chicago River early Tuesday morning after they had been drinking, according to police.

Emergency crews rescued the men from the water near the 1200 block of West North Avenue in Goose Island, Chicago Police said.

Police said the two men were intoxicated when one of them fell in the water. A second man also fell in when he tried to help his friend in the water.

As of Tuesday morning, one man remains in critical condition at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, while the other man is stable.
