2 Men Shot Outside Suburban Nightclub

Group was ejected for fighting, police say

Two men were shot outside a south suburban nightclub early Monday morning.

The gunman and two victims were part of a group ejected around 1 a.m. for fighting inside The Zone, on the 2000 block of West 163rd Street in Markham, according to The Chicago Tribune. The gunman then opened fire in the parking lot, hitting the two victims, the Tribune reports.

One man was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital in extremely critical condition with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The other was shot in the arm and taken to Engel’s Hospital in serious condition.

Police said the nightclub was hosting a college night event.

They’re still searching for the shooter.
