2 Injured in Crash Involving Chicago Fire Department Fire Engine

Two people were injured in a pin-in crash involving a fire engine from the Chicago Fire Department Saturday afternoon, officials confirmed. 

Around 1:47 p.m., a fire engine and another vehicle were involved in a collision at the intersection of W Pershing Rd and S Wallace St, in the South Side Canaryville neighborhood, according to the Chicago Fire Department. 

No fire officials appeared to be hurt, authorities said. Emergency responders took one victim to Mount Sinai Hospital, and the other to Advocate Christ Medical Center. Both were from the other vehicle, and their conditions were unknown, according to the CFD. 

No further information about the crash was immediately available.
