Two people were shot and killed Tuesday afternoon at a hospital in far west suburban Sycamore, police said.
A man and woman were found at about 5:50 p.m. with fatal gunshot wounds in a hospital room at Kindred Hospital, 225 Edwards St., a long-term care facility. Sycamore Police Chief Don Thomas said the two were in a relationship together. Their names and ages have not been released.
Police said a gun was found in the room, but authorities called the incident isolated with no threat to the community.
Thomas said more information will be released Wednesday.
