2 Boys Badly Hurt in Fall From Ferris Wheel

Witness says the Ferris wheel cab "just dumped the kids out"

Police say two boys are critically injured after falling at least 15 feet from a Ferris wheel at a community fair in southeastern Michigan.

The boys fell 15 to 20 feet from the attraction at the Chelsea Community Fair Thursday night, the Ann Arbor News reports.

The boys were taken to C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in critical condition. Their names, ages and the nature of their injuries have not been released.

Chelsea resident Alex Keszler says she was standing by the Ferris wheel around 8:20 p.m. when one of the cabs got caught on another one, causing the cab the boys were riding in to tip forward as the Ferris wheel rotated.

Keszler says the cab "just dumped the kids out."

Chelsea is 50 miles west of Detroit.
