Plane Cleared After Suspicious Package Discovered

A plane at O'Hare International Airport was cleared for take-off after being delayed because a suspicious package was discovered on board.

Passengers on an American Airlines plane at O'Hare International Airport are finally boarding their flight after being delayed several hours because a suspicious package was found on board.

Flight 4141 heading for Hartford, Conn., was scheduled to leave at 12:50 p.m., according to the American Airlines website.

The plane was delayed after crews found a suspicious package aboard the plane during inspection, the Chicago Police Dept. reported. Both bomb and arson squads were called to the scene to investigate.

An American Airlines spokesperson confirmed the plane was flight 4141 and said passengers were boarding the plane for their destination.
