A 17-year-old boy was in critical condition after he was shot in the head on the Far South Side Monday night.

The teen was walking with a group in the 11800 block of South Perry in the West Pullman neighborhood around 9:30 p.m. Monday when a red car pulled up and someone inside began shooting, police said.

The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition.

The teen has not been identified, and police did not say whether anyone else in the group was injured.

No one has been arrested, but Calumet Area detectives are investigating the shooting.
