A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed on the city's Northwest Side on Saturday night.
According to police, the teen was observed displaying gang signs at passing cars when a man parked a vehicle in a nearby alley in the 5900 block of West Diversey.
The man walked up to the boy and fired several shots at the teen, striking him in the chest and arms.
The victim was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No one is in custody, and Area North Detectives are investigating.
