A 16-year-old boy is dead after being shot in the face while walking on a sidewalk in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood Wednesday morning.

Just after 8 a.m. the boy was walking in the 5000 block of West Ferdinand on the city’s West Side when two men walked up and one pulled out a handgun and shot the boy in the face, according to Chicago Police Officer Jose Estrada.
