A 15 year-old boy was shot to death Wednesday night on the front porch of a South Side home.

Police said the teen had just stepped onto the porch of the Englewood home on the 5700 block of South Laflin Street when shots rang out around 8:11 p.m.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the boy as Mark Watts of the 4700 block of South Indiana Avenue.

Witnesses said they heard several shots before Watts was struck. Police said Watts was hit in the abdomen, buttocks and legs.

Crews took him to Stroger Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead at 8:46 p.m.

Police recovered three bullet casings from the scene but have no description of the shooter.
