Police continue to search for the shooter who left a 14-year-old boy hospitalized early Monday morning.

The boy was in the backyard of his home on the 5100 block of South Albany Avenue in Gage Park when two vehicles pulled up, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.

A man got out of the van, walked toward the group and started shooting. The shooter then got back into a van and both vehicles drove off.

The 14-year-old boy was shot in the lower left leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in stable condition.

No one else was injured. Police say the shooting was possibly gang-related.
