Our local version of the ESPYs went down Monday night at the 25th annual Chicago Sports Fans Choice Awards.
The red carpet awards event honored athletes from all of Chicago's pro sports teams.
The winners were compiled by fan balloting and included:
- MVP -- Matt Forte (Bears)
- Rising Star -- Corey Crawford (Blackhawks)\
- Hometown Heroes (Charity work) -- Devin Hester (Bears), CJ Watson (Bulls), Darren Hayder (Wolves), Michael Videira (Fire), Reggie Grey (Rush)
Proceeds from the silent auction benefited the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
