A Glenview man is the running for a pretty high-profile gig.
Castro lives in St. Louis and is the social media director for a local radio station. More than 74,000 people applied for the position working alongside Sheen, and Castro is one of 250 finalists.
The paid internship will last for eight weeks and according to the description, "work closely with Charlie Sheen in leveraging his social network." Sheen set a Twitter record for being the fastest to reach 1 million followers.
Castro told St. Louis Today that he decided to go after the gig because Sheen "is just freaking hysterical and in a really weird way, he's doing good things."
As part of the next round of the competition, Castro produced a YouTube video (see below) stating how he would create awareness and raise money via social media in the aftermath of a global disaster. And of course, he toasted Sheen with a concoction of Tiger Blood at the end.
Castro is a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
