A fire displaced 11 people in the West Town neighborhood early Thursday.

The blaze broke out shortly before midnight in an apartment building on the 4900 block of West Dakin Street and spread to two neighboring buildings.

It was brought under control about 40 minutes later.

No one was injured, but the fire department asked the city to aid nine adults and six children.
