10 Arrested After a South Side Drug Bust

10 people have been arrested and four face drug charge warrants, officials said

Several gang members were arrested and weapons seized on Saturday after Chicago Police conducted a 3-month investigation into drug sales in the South Side Deering District.

The Narcotics Division officers and Deering District tactical officers arrested a total of 10 out of 14 identified targets, according to a release from police. Officers discovered a fully-loaded High Point 9mm rifle, a 9mm handgun and narcotics on the South Side in the city’s Back of Yards neighborhood, said the release.

The Chicago Police Department and Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office began the investigation in March after a double homicide recently occurred as a result of criminal activities of the Black P-Stone gang in the 5200 block of South May Street.

The 10 people charged with possession and delievery of a controlled substance include:

  • Kevin Bass, 17
  • Sandy Hall, 33
  • Curtistine Elliot, 43
  • John Elliot, 49
  • Heath Huntspon, 23
  • Booker Rice, 56
  • Robert R. Moore, 26
  • Jeremy Pidwinski, 21
  • Mustafa Muhammad, 22

The four people wanted and named in warrants tied with the investigation include:

  • Darrius Norwood, 19
  • Kenvin Wells, 21
  • Jasmine Jackson, age not available
  • Robert T. Moore, 25

Police continue to seek the identified offenders and the investigation remains ongoing.
