One person is dead after a car crash in suburban Maywood, fire officials said Wednesday.
The accident occured at Roosevelt Road and 9th Avenue between 3:15 and 3:30 p.m., officials said. At least one car was involved in the crash.
Maywood Police said the accident invovled a single vehicle that struck a pedestrian who died at the scene. The burning vehicle was extinguished before the driver was removed.
the driver is in critical condition at Loyola Medical Center.
