    A Grandmother in Elmhurst is charged with attempted murder for stabbing her 9-month old grandson. According to police, Sandra F. Clanton, 39 told police she believed the baby was the antichrist.

    A Grandmother in Elmhurst is charged with attempted murder for stabbing her 9-month old grandson.  According to police, Sandra F. Clanton, 39 told police she believed the baby was the antichrist.

    Last week Clanton used a kitchen knife to repeatedly stab her grandson and had to be subdued by a relative. The infant survived the attack with minor injuries.

    Bond was set at $2 million and Clanton is being confined to a mental health ward.  Requests for a complete psychological exam have been denied until a public defender is selected to represent Clanton.
