According to a Sumsung Mobile survey, three out of 10 Chicagoans would prefer to give up boots knockin than phone callin.

Three hundred Chicago residents were e-mailed at random in September and asked about their phone habits. Among the questions about phone usage, the study asked people if they would rather give up sex for a year or give up their mobile phones for a year.

About 36 percent of women and 15 percent of men preferred talk time to sexy time.

Samsung wanted to evaluate the relationship people have with their mobile phones, Kim Titus, a spokesperson for the company, told Chicago Breaking News.

More than half of the respondents were married, leading to the conclusion that some people have a better relationship with their phones than with their spouse.

The survey also found that 80 percent of Chicago cell phone users are regular text messagers, and nearly a third prefer texting over an actual phone conversation.

Perhaps they're sending texts complaining that they're not getting laid.

Matt Bartosik, a "between blogs" blogger, has a healthy, active relationship with his phone.
