It seems that even HBO can't stand Drew Peterson.

Calling it a publicity "stunt" the network won't condone, HBO said there's no chance Peterson will appear on a reality television show set in a Nevada brothel.

While a whore house might be the perfect place for the media whore, HBO spokeswoman Tobe Becker said the network would cancel the show, called "Cathouse," if Peterson were on it.

The network that brought us Pimps Up Ho's Down, Hookers and Katie Morgan's Sex Tips suddenly seems to be taking the high road.

An early-morning Tweet from Peterson's public relations agency (@PublicAgency), citing sources, said the "girls at the Moonlite Bunny Ranch are disgusted by, and do not want Drew Peterson near them."

Peterson is, of course, the former Bolingbrook police officer who is suspected in the October 2007 disappearance of his young wife, Stacy.

Peterson publicist Glenn Selig said Wednesday that his client was weighing an offer from the owner of the Moonlight Bunny Ranch outside Carson City.

Dennis Hof, the owner of the ranch, initially went after Rod Blagojevich for the show, but the disgraced governor turned it down.  Selig represents both Peterson and Blagojevich.

Selig did not immediately comment Thursday. A spokeswoman for the Bunny Ranch says they're still talking to Peterson.
