A 49-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder, three days after a trucker was stabbed to death on the Edens Expressway near Evanston.

David Seddon was charged Monday with the death of Alan Lauritzen, according to Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez's office.

Lauritzen, 40, of Sparta, Wis., was found lying by his parked rig near Tower Road on the outbound Edens Expressway Friday morning.  He had three stab wounds and blood was found on his truck's door and the ground beside him.  He died at Highland Park Hospital.

No further details about the charges were released.
