Roselle Man Created, Distributed Child Porn: Cops

Man faces 30 years for creating, distributing child porn, cops say

A Roselle man was arrested on child pornography charges at O’Hare International Airport after he returned to Chicago on a commercial flight Tuesday night.

Gary Cheetham, 54, was charged with one felony count each of Manufacture and Distribution of Child Pornography after a complaint against him was filed last week.

According to the complaint, an under-cover agent at Chicago FBI’s Innocent Images Task Force made contact with Cheetham online and through peer-to-peer sharing, accessed child pornographic files in December 2009.

In May 2010, IITF agents searched Cheetham’s home and found several images and videos of child pornography on computers and other electronic devices. There was further evidence that Cheetham also manufactured the pornography.

Cheetham was formally charged in court Wednesday, and if convicted, can face a jail sentence of 15 to 30 years.
