Teens Charged in Gang Rape

One of the teens allegedly met the victim online before raping her

Four teenagers from a southern suburb are in police custody Thursday morning for allegedly gang-raping a 14-year-old girl.

The teens from Stickney were identified by police as 16-year-old Alex Picallo, 18-year-old Majeed Khalifeh, 19-year-old Jonathan Leanos and 22-year-old Vicente Hernandez. They all face two counts of aggravated criminal assault.

Reports indicate Leanos met the victim online last summer. He met with her several times before taking her to his house located in the 3900 block of Wesley Avenue on Saturday, police say. Leanos asked the victim to have sex with him, but she refused, and he then forced her, according to police.

Later, the three other teens met up at Leanos' house, and forced the girl to have sex with them as well, police say. The teens recorded the attacks on a cell phone.

The attacks lasted for over an hour, and in multiple rooms in the home, according to detectives from the Stickney Police Department.

Picallo, Khalifeh and Leanos appeared before a judge this week and were each ordered to be held on bond. Hernandez appeared in bond court this afternoon and is being held on a $600,000 bond.
