Hefty boys, take note. A Wisconsin company wants to stop your peers from cracking jokes about your plumbers' bottom problem.
Duluth Trading Company, based just outside Madison, Wisconsin, has been selling T-shirts that are three inches longer than standard shirts. These "Longtail T"s are meant to stay tucked, protecting folks from accidental exposure.
And now they're bringing their crack coverings to Chicago.
On Friday, April 16, the Duluth Trading staff will be at the best place to find people in the plumbing industry: the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (being held along Michigan Avenue between Monroe and Jackson around 10:30).
According to a press release:
"On April 16, the Duluth Trading staff will hit the streets of Chicago during the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) to offer complimentary exposure checks to average folks using the official Duluth Trading 'Exposure Meter.' Willing participants will be asked to bend over to measure their risk of overexposure based on when their shirt un-tucks. And, to protect them from a breach of modesty in the future, Duluth Trading will give each participant a free screen-printed commemorative Plumber's Day Longtail T."
Head toward Michigan Ave. between East Monroe and East Jackson between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. that day if you'd like to get checked.
Oh sure, it might sound funny. But they're providing a real community service!

"The Longtail T isn't just for plumbers, but it wouldn't exist without them," says Suz Harms, director of marketing for Duluth Trading Company. "That's why we're setting out to help fix plumber's butt. It's a universal problem, and we've got the solution."
National Plumber's Day is April 25, reports the Duluth website. Use the unofficial holiday as an opportunity to crack down on moon sightings.
