If you take the Kennedy, you may want to give yourself some extra time in the morning -- for the next three or four months.
Construction started Monday to fix the "suicide ramps," the center entrance ramps downtown that are the white-knuckled bane of thousands of drivers.
Hundreds of accidents happen on the ramps every year as drivers say a prayer and make a quick maneuver into the busy, concrete-walled highway.
The first phase of the project will focus on the exit ramps at Hubbard's Cave, then move on to the entrance ramps. Next up are ramps at Lake, Randolph and Madison, Adams and Jackson, the Trib reported.
Federal stimulus funds are paying for the $9.3 million project. So if you're late for work because of it, you can blame President Obama.
