Season's first snowfall blankets Chicago area

If you put up the tree and hung lights this weekend, you can also look forward to some snow to go with your holiday theme. And if you were traveling home from Thanksgiving, you were probably delayed. But hey, what did you expect?

The wintry weather coupled with huge Thanksgiving crowds left many travelers stranded at O'Hare International Airport.

"We're pretty tired. I haven't had any sleep," said Beth Voller. "It's been a long travel day, 13-14 hours, coming from Mobile, Alabama through Atlanta.

Chicago Department of Aviation spokesman Gregg Cunningham says low visibility and gusty winds have forced the cancelation of 50 flights so far today.
