David Axelrod is being hailed as brilliant for masterminding the 50-state ground strategy that helped President-elect Barack Obama win the election. His reward? Reportedly, a top advisor position in the White House.

At the time, NBC 5 TV's Carol Marin asked Axelrod about the challenges of that race.  Roll the tape.
