Chicago police intercepted two huge deliveries Wednesday -- one cocaine and one cash.
Members of the Vehicle Interdiction Team tailed two trucks as part of an ongoing investigation, according to a police release. The first vehicle stopped in Dwight, Illinois and delivered a large box and suitcase to a truck driver. Officers discovered bundles of U.S. currency.
A second vehicle was followed to a residence in Woodridge. Officers there found cocaine.
In total, officers recovered $1,095,000 and 26 kilos of cocaine, with an estimated street value of $3.25 million.
The investigation is on going, but police anticipate charges upon its conclusion.
