A 30-year-old man in Logan Square was recently robbed of some very expensive possessions. However, police will not be returning his property to him if they find it.
At about 2 a.m., the man (whose name was not released) heard a loud noise in his home on the 2400 block of West McLean Avenue.
"He was met by three unknown males who demanded drugs and money," said Shakespeare District police Capt. Marc Buslik, according to the Sun-Times.
When the victim refused, the attackers allegedly hit him over the head with a nightstick and shot him with a Taser. They then bound him with duct tape and put a pillowcase over his head, he said.
A neighbor reported seeing the three men run out the front door and jump into a white Monte Carlo.
The victim said the men took a cell phone, $1200 in cash, and "a couple of ounces of cannabis" worth $2,000.
"While we certainly don't like home invasions, it is unusual when somebody admits to having had a loss of drugs," Buslik said, reports the Tribune.
The Logan Square man will not face any charges.
