Sexual abuse charges are piling up against Lake County's longest-serving deputy coroner.
Robert Barrett, 42, is charged with four counts of criminal sexual assault and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
The Lindenhurst man first faced molestation charges involving a 14-year-old girl in his home, the Daily Herald reports.
Lake County prosecutors alleged Barrett had inappropriate contact with the girl for many years.
The veteran coroner is on unpaid administrative leave and being held in at a Waukegan hospital for psychiatric observation.
If convicted, Barrett could face up to 15 years in prison.
