Five adults were charged in connection with the death of a 3-month-old baby found in a dirty, crowded Northwest Side apartment Tuesday morning.

Officers responding to a call about the boy's death at about 6:30 a.m. found a roach-infested home, with food and garbage scattered throughout.

The boy, two-month old Iven Carlos,  was transported to Swedish Covenant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.  An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday to determine the cause of the death.

Officials said there were well over a dozen people living in the one flat on the 3100 block of West Ainslie Street.
