Upon returning Thursday morning from a visit to Iraq and Afghanistan, Gov. Pat Quinn asked Illinois residents to give their frequent flier miles to support families of wounded service men and women.

"I encourage everyone in the Land of Lincoln to honor those who fight for our freedom by supporting Operation Hero Miles," the governor said.
