The sergeant said the woman drove off, but returned to the scene a half-hour later and was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, he said.

A man rear-ended a police squad car at a red light last night, then fled the scene and crashed into several parked vehicles, according to Palos Park police.

The crash happened around 8 p.m. at 123rd and Highway 45, the Tribune reported. The officer suffered only minor injuries.

Another police car chased the driver, who crashed into a car, coming to a stop on someone's lawn.

The driver was arrested. The Cook County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
