Early this year, in a horrific animal-on-human attack, Charla Nash was mauled by her friend’s 200-pound pet chimpanzee.

Nash, 55, lost her hands, nose, lips and sight in February after Travis the chimp attacked her when she came to help her employer get the chimp back into the house.

Now she’s telling her story to Oprah.

Chicago-based Harpo Productions said in a Monday statement that Nash will appear on Wednesday's episode of Winfrey's talk show.

Harpo says Nash will discuss how she's adjusting, how she maintains her spirit, and what the future holds.

Nash, who is adjusting to using primitive prosthetics, is currently suing the state of Connecticut for $150 million in relation to the mauling. Her friends have created a Web site, Friends of Charla Nash, to provide updates on her progress.

"Charla has accepted her losses. She accepts that she can not change this," the most recent post reads.
