Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich's top aide during the final days before the governor's arrest will plead guilty, his attorney says.
Former chief of staff John Harris, who has pleaded not guilty until now to a charge that he plotted to squeeze potential campaign contributors for money, is due to appear Wednesday before federal Judge James B. Zagel.
"It is anticipated that he will change his plea," defense attorney Terry Ekl said Tuesday.
Harris could shed fresh light on the final days before the Dec. 4 arrest when prosecutors say Blagojevich tried to sell or trade President Obama's Senate seat.
