Blago Asks for Obama Transcripts

The former governor of Illinois knows no bounds in his quest for exoneration.

He's taken to the airwaves. He's written a book. He's gabbed with the women of the View. All along the way, he's demanded justice.

Now he's demanding the president's help.

Rod Blagojevich's lawyers are asking to see any notes, transcripts or reports of what President Obama said when he was interviewed in the investigation that led to the former governor's indictment.

The request may come up Wednesday as attorneys meet with federal Judge James Zagel for a pre-Christmas status hearing in the case.

Blagojevich's lawyers also want any records of interviews with First Lady Michelle Obama, chief of staff Rahm Emanuel, presidential advisor Valerie Jarrett and labor leaders Thomas Balanoff and Andy Stern.

Blagojevich is charged with scheming to trade or sell Obama's former U.S. Senate seat.
