There ain’t no old saloons ‘round these here parts, but there are bandits on the loose none-the-less.
The “Bullet Proof Bandit” has struck again, this time at Edens Bank at 5256 Dempster in Skokie.
A white male armed with a gun walked into the bank and announced a robbery at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the FBI. He was handed an undisclosed amount of cash before running from the bank on foot.
No injuries were reported as a result of this robbery.
About 6’2” and 40 years old, this ole boy’s a lone cowboy.
That’s right, he acts alone and was given the nickname “Bullet Proof Bandit” based on the ballistic vest that he is suspected to wear underneath his clothes during the robberies. He also dons a white handkerchief that covers the lower portion of his face.
Among the many bandits in the greater Chicago area, the Bullet Proof Bandit has gained notoriety due to his alleged previous robberies on March 27 and April 17 at North Community Bank in Chicago and at Edens Bank in Skokie, respectively.
But we say to this crook, back off, bandit.
This town ain’t big enough for the both of us.
