Charges filed in the shooting of a 1-year old girl.
Tarenzo Dillon, 26, faces one count of Aggravated Battery with a firearm in connection with the shooting of Akira Vickers, 1, early Monday morning, according to Chicago Police.
Chicago police say Dillon got into an argument with another man in a park in the Grand Crossing Park neighborhood. Dillon reportedly pulled out a gun and accidentally shot the baby, who was in a stroller.
Vickers was driven to Jackson Park Hospital. She was then transferred to Chicago Comer Children's Hospital where she had surgery on her jaw and shoulder.
Dillon is expected to appear in bond court today.
