Newlywed Shooting
Garfield Park
A registered sex offender with convictions for domestic battery and aggravated battery to a police officer apparently shot and killed his newlywed wife before turning the gun on himself, the Chicago Tribune reported.  Police said the couple had just gotten married Oct. 10.

Fatal Robbery

East Garfield Park
A 40-year-old man walking with another man was shot and killed when someone approached and shot him during an armed robbery, the Chicago Tribune reported.  Police were questioning a "person of interest."

Garage-Ramming Thieves
South Side
Since Nov. 6, thieves have used a red GM SUV or pickup to ram open garage doors in the Chatham and Avalon Park neighborhoods, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.  Police on Friday issued a community alert to help catch the crooks, described as two men between the ages of 20 and 25.
