Caught in the Crossfire
Morgan Park
Two cousins weren't the intended targets for bullets fired from a silver Volkswagen or Volvo in a gang-related drive by Wednesday night, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. The wounds of the 11-year-old boy and 10-year-old girl aren't life-threatening.
Liquor Store Shooting
Lawndale
A liquor and food store employee was shot in the right thigh and a customer was shot in the foot while trying to move a ruckus outside the store, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. The shooter was described only as a male wearing dark clothing. Police have no one in custody.
Woman Found After Chase
La Grange Park
A woman in her 80s was found unresponsive in her apartment after a relative crashed a car belonging to the woman during an early-morning police chase, the Chicago Tribune reported. She's currently in stable condition. Her relative is recovering from surgery.
