Men Carjacked, Vehicle Set on Fire
Auburn Gresham
Two men, including a 65-year-old man, were carjacked and taken to an abandoned building on the 1300 block of West 78th Street Sunday night where they were beaten and robbed, the Chicago Tribune reported. The victims were left at the building while the carjackers drove the van elsewhere and set it on fire.

Teen Shot Killed
Roseland
A 19-year-old man was shot and killed while he walked down the 11100 block of South Edbrooke on Sunday night, the Chicago Tribune reported. Police said "several males" were involved, and they fled in a silver or gray Chevy Impala.

German Visitor Trampled, Killed by Horse
Plato Township, Kane County
A woman visiting from Germany for a family reunion was killed when she was trampled by an out-of-control horse Monday afternoon, the Chicago Tribune reported. Another woman, a relative, was also struck and was listed in critical condition.
